Cozy Cat Beds

Let’s face it; it isn’t only your cat that thinks she or he is royalty.  Most cat owners fall into the same kind of thinking.  We tend to pamper our pet and strive to give them all the comforts we can.  One way to provide practical comfort for your cat is to purchase a cat bed.

Cat beds come in all shapes and sizes.The simplest cat beds are mats, often made of faux fur.  These help your cat feel comforted in the same way as when they cuddle up with their mother or siblings.  Cats are naturally attracted to fur of all types and a bed of faux fur will keep your furry friend warm and satisfied during his or her daily naps.

Some cats like to sprawl out anywhere they can watch what is going on with the rest of the family.  Others prefer a quiet hideaway where they can rest peacefully without being bothered.  Cat beds come in a style to match either personality.  Open ones come in a variety of sizes; some are big enough for one cat and others allow your cat to share his bed with the family dog if he wishes.  Enclosed cat beds give the feel of safety, especially to nervous cats that like to hide to sleep or whenever company arrives.   For those cats that simply can’t stay away from couches, there are cat beds shaped like miniature couches to satisfy their wishes.

Colors, patterns and material also vary to suit all preferences.  Your little princes might prefer a pretty pink cat bed while your miniature tiger may enjoy a leopard print or black leather cat bed, or maybe one that is reversible, to satisfy his changing moods.  Pick a material that will suit the activity of your feline friend.  Some cats will do well with softer materials, while others need a rugged material that can withstand activity.

As an alternative to typical cat beds is one that can be both a toy and a sleeping spot, such as the crinkle toy on the above page.  These often consist of material that sounds like a plastic bag, which is one of a cat’s favorite toys.  Cats can practice hiding and hunting skills and then curl up inside for a nice long nap.  Whatever cat bed you choose for your furry friend, he or she will purr thanks on a regular basis for your gift.
