All pet owners and pet lovers know that our pets are considered a part of our family - especially when it comes to our dogs. I am convinced that my dog also believes he is just another equal part of the family.

In fact, you would not believe some of the habits that he’s picked up that makes him seem as if he is almost an actual part of the family.

During dinner every night, my dog sits beside the table in order to keep us company. When we are finished, he refuses to eat until at least one member of the family returns the favour for him, and sits with him while he eats. It's like he actually thinks he’s human, and deserves some sort of company and conversation throughout dinner, just like we had while we were eating. Or maybe he just wants to be just like us and have the same benefits that we all have.

I'm sure if he could actually sit on a chair at the table with us during dinner time, he would. However, if he started doing that, he might never go back to eating from a dish on the floor. I know that I personally would never want to eat my food off the floor, so I have a tendency to believe that my dog doesn't necessarily enjoy eating off it either – or at least that he doesn't realize there were better options than eating off the floor. Until now.
