Pet Beds: Spot's New Favorite Hideaway

It’s a cold winter’s night, and the family is gathered in front of the fireplace. The fire crackles as the wind outside howls, and I can’t help but think just how warm and cozy the whole family is as we’re gathered inside. We’re all curled up on various couches in the room, including Spot, the faithful family dog.

But Spot doesn’t get your ordinary, run-of-the-mill couch. Neither does he just get his own mat on the floor. He has his very own Mammoth Pet Bed.

Mammoth Pet BedWe originally got this pet bed for Spot because as much as we love him, we didn’t want him lying and shedding all over our furniture. Whenever we kicked him off it, though, he would always look at us with those huge puppy-dog eyes of his that told us how unfair his life was that he had to stay on the hard floor while we got to bask in the comfort of the couch. It would go like this for a few minutes until Spot got fed up with the hard floor and go in search of a soft bed to sleep on instead.

I have a soft-spot in my heart for Spot, and those puppy-dog eyes were going to be my downfall. I knew that this could not go on, and that eventually I would give in unless I came up with a solution.

First, we tried the dog mats, but they didn’t cushion the hard floor underneath very much, and Spot did not find it comparable to our couches. Then, we tried a large pillow for Spot, but that just wasn’t cutting it either. On our third try, we found the Mammoth Pet Bed. This one did the trick; Spot took to it immediately, and it has become a favourite area for him – he especially likes curling up on his pet bed in the winter when we have the fire going.

The Mammoth Pet Bed is a very soft and cushioned pet bed. It’s made of a microfibre, which lends itself to easy cleaning – the cushion is even machine-washable, so every time it starts smelling like a dirty dog, I just throw it in the washing machine on the cold cycle. Spot doesn’t even try to jump up on the couches with us now, which means less dog hair on the couches too!

So, now that Spot loves his pet bed, we are able to spend more quality time with the whole family.
