Why Buy Dog Pet Beds?

At last count, Americans shared their homes with over 43 million dogs.  This tells us that dogs are an important part of our lives.  This tells us that dogs are an important part of our lives.  They are our protectors, companions, helpers and, often, best friends.  We value our dogs and try to provide them with warm, healthy homes yet only a small portion of dog owners think to purchase dog pet beds for their canine family members.  Let’s take a look at some of the reasons for providing your dog with his own bed.

Many people do not want their dogs lying on people furniture.  Dogs shed and the hair gets on clothing.  This is not only embarrassing at times, but can be the cause of allergic reactions in guests who choose to sit where your dog has been.  If you share your home with a large dog, you may find yourself sitting or sleeping on the floor for lack of space!
Providing a dog pet bed eliminates both the hair and the fight for space.  Your dog will come to think of the bed as his own special spot, one he doesn’t have to share with “his” humans.

Floors can be hard and cold.  During winter months, this can cause your dog to become ill.  Older dogs especially are prone to arthritis the same as humans.  A cold, hard floor can be the cause of much unnecessary pain in your furry friend. Illnesses and pain can eventually result in high vet bills or losing a beloved friend.  Dog pet beds will provide warm, comfortable spots for your dog to sleep or just relax and spend time with his “family”.

Dog pet beds can eliminate or greatly reduce anxiety in dogs.  Enclosed dog pet beds provide a den-like environment that appeals to a dog’s natural instinct.  Offering your dog a safe place to rest while you are away will help reduce the anxiety many dogs have while alone all day.  Dogs, like people, also need time and space to themselves or they become cranky.  Dog pet beds provide that needed personal space.

Providing dog pet beds to your pets will let them know they are loved and cared for.  As most people who share their homes with dogs know, a dog that feels loved returns that love ten-fold.  He will be forever grateful for the kindness you have shown.
