If you are replacing another heartworm preventive, the first dose of Revolution must be given within a month of the last dose of the former preventive.
Revolution is not effective against adult D. immitis. Before administering Revolution, dogs should be tested for existing heartworm infections. At the discretion of a veterinarian, infected dogs should be treated to remove adult heartworms.
In studies conducted by Zoetis, Revolution has been tested as safe for pregnant, lactating and breeding female dogs, and breeding male dogs. If you need further guidance, consult a veterinarian before using Revolution on such pets.
