If you are replacing another heartworm preventive, the first dose of Revolution must be given within a month of the last dose of the former preventive.
Revolution does not treat adult heartworms. However, cats already infected with adult heartworms can be given Revolution monthly to prevent further infections. You may consult your veterinarian for further guidance.
At the discretion of a veterinarian, cats ≥6 months of age may be tested to determine the presence of existing heartworm infections before beginning the treatment with Revolution.
In studies conducted by Zoetis, Revolution has been tested as safe for pregnant, lactating and breeding female cats, and breeding male cats. If you need further guidance, consult a veterinarian before using Revolution on such pets.
