Seresto Collar for Small Dogs is designed for dogs up to 18 lbs in body weight to protect against a variety of external parasites such as fleas and ticks for up to 8 months. The water-resistant collar kills fleas before they can lay eggs; kills re-infesting fleas within 2 hours; controls flea larvae in the dog's surroundings after contact with the treated dog and repels and/or kills ticks within 6 hours. The collar also kills lice and helps in the treatment and control of sarcoptic mange on dogs.
Seresto Collar for Small Dogs contains imidacloprid (10.0%) and flumethrin (4.5%). The collar works with a unique polymer matrix of the ingredients that get spread over the dog's skin surface. Imidacloprid controls flea infestations, whereas flumethrin kills and repels ticks. The combination provides dual action against fleas and ticks. The collar releases ingredients in low concentrations for 8 months to provide continuous protection.
