Advantage for Medium Dogs (Aqua) is formulated with imidacloprid as an active ingredient, which spreads across the dog’s skin on application. As per manufacturer studies, this topical solution stops fleas from feeding in 3-5 minutes and kills adult and larval fleas within 20 minutes of contact, so they do not have to bite your dog to receive the lethal dose. Advantage kills re-infesting fleas for a month.

Usage Directions For Advantage

Advantage for Dogs is available in easily identifiable, color-coded, four different packs for weight-appropriate dosage in dogs of different sizes. Check your dog’s weight and get the pack that is appropriate for their bodyweight.
Remove the required tube(s) from the pack.
Hold the tube upright, away from you, and pull off the cap.
Reverse the cap and push it back on the tube. Twist the cap to break the seal, and then remove it from the tube.
Make your dog stand in a comfortable position and remove any collar before application. You can replace the collar when the product is dry.
Part the hair of your dog until the skin is visible. Place the tube tip on the skin and squeeze the tube firmly twice to apply the solution directly on the skin.
For dogs weighing less than 55 lbs. (25 kg): Apply the tube content between the shoulder blades.
For dogs weighing over 55 lbs. (25 kg): Apply the tube content by dividing the dose between the shoulder blades, on the midline of the back between the hips, and at one point in between.
Avoid applying the product when your dog is wet, and keep it away from their eyes or mouth.
If you opt to wash your dog during the use of Advantage, use a soap-free shampoo.
Repeat the treatment monthly or as required.
It is not necessary to treat unweaned puppies, as treatment of the mother helps protect the litter while in contact. Treat the mother until weaning, and then treat individual puppies.
It is recommended to treat all the pets in the same environment simultaneously.
