Drontal Plus for Small and Medium Dogs contains praziquantel, pyrantel pamoate and febantel as active ingredients. All these ingredients work against parasites independently. Praziquantel causes paralysis in tapeworms and helps eliminate the disintegrated pieces of tapeworms in feces.

Usage Directions For Drontal Plus

Drontal Plus Tablets:

Drontal Plus is available in different packs for weight-appropriate dosage in dogs of different sizes. Check your dog’s weight and get the pack that is appropriate for their bodyweight.
Remove the Drontal Plus Tablet from its pack and offer it to your dog by hand.
Alternatively, give the tablet in a small amount of food for easy acceptance.
Fasting for your dog is neither necessary nor recommended before or after the treatment.
For dogs living where re-infections (from certain species of tapeworms) are likely to occur, retreatment may be necessary. Where there is continual exposure to wild rodents, retreatment at 21-26 day intervals is recommended to prevent the shedding of infectious eggs. Consult a veterinarian for dosage guidance where needed.

Drontal Allwormer Chewables:

Drontal Chewables are available in different packs for weight-appropriate dosage in dogs of different sizes. Check your dog’s weight and get the pack that is appropriate for their bodyweight.
Dosage:
- Drontal Allwormer Chewables for Small Dogs: 1 chew/22 lbs. (10 kg) of body weight
- Drontal Allwormer Chewables for Large Dogs: 1 chew/77 lbs. (35 kg) of body weight
Give the recommended chewables dosage to your dog once every three months, or at the beginning of every season.
In hydatid tapeworm infestation locations, treat your dog with this chewable every 6 weeks.
If whipworm is a problem, retreat every 6 – 8 weeks.
Make sure your dog does not feed on offal of any species.
It is recommended to treat your dog as well as reduce the environmental contamination by daily disposal of droppings.
For tapeworm control, it is recommended to remove tapeworm intermediate hosts, e.g., fleas.

Drontal Worming Suspension for Puppies:

Shake the bottle well before use.
For every 2.2 lbs. (1 kg) of bodyweight of your puppy, administer 1 ml of Drontal Oral Liquid.
Give this oral suspension as a single dose by mouth using the dosing syringe.
Fasting for your puppy prior to dosing is not necessary.
Treat your puppy at 2 weeks of age, and then at 4, 6, 8, 10, and 12 weeks of age.
After 12 weeks of age, treat your puppy every month until 6 months of age. Thereafter, treat them every 3 months.
If whipworm is the problem, treat every 6 – 8 weeks after 3 months of age.
Treat your puppy and all other in-contact dogs. It is also recommended to reduce the environmental contamination by the daily disposal of droppings.

Drontal Plus Protective Measures

For animals:

For use in animals only.
Read the entire label or consult a veterinarian, and use only as directed.
Clean all areas where your dog was maintained or in contact with them completely, and allow areas to dry thoroughly before reuse.
Consult your veterinarian if the worm problem persists.

For humans:

It is not for human use.
Keep out of reach of children.
Wash your hands thoroughly after handling the product.
If poisoning occurs, seek medical advice immediately.

Precautions:

If your dog is treated with Drontal Plus Tablets for the first time or at intervals greater than 28 days, they may shed eggs in the feces after treatment. When this is the case, promptly dispose of feces to help reduce re-infestation risk. For further guidance, consult your veterinarian.
