Protect your dog from the most common types of worms with Interceptor Plus (Orange) Chewables. This monthly chew provides 5-worm protection to dogs: against heartworms, and adult hookworms, roundworms, tapeworms and whipworms.

The tasty, real chicken flavor of this vet-recommended oral treatment appeals to dogs and makes the dosage administration an easy task. It is suitable for dogs and puppies aged 6 weeks and above, and weighing between 2 & 8 lbs.

Why choose Interceptor Plus Orange for Dogs?

When used as directed, this flavored monthly chewable:

  • Prevents heartworm disease caused by Dirofilaria immitis
  • Treats and controls infections with:
    • Adult roundworms
    • Adult hookworms
    • Adult whipworms
    • Adult tapeworms

Interceptor Plus Orange for Dogs: Monthly Worm Protection

Interceptor Plus (Orange) combines two powerful ingredients: Milbemycin oxime and praziquantel. On administration, milbemycin oxime prevents heartworm disease in dogs and treats and controls adult hookworm, roundworm and whipworm infections. Praziquantel, on the other hand, shows high efficacy against adult tapeworms.

Interceptor Plus: Common Questions

Here are answers to some common questions by pet parents about Interceptor Plus:

The American Heartworm Society recommends treating dogs year-round with broad-spectrum parasite protection. But if you do not administer Interceptor Plus monthly throughout the year, continue the administration for at least 6 months following the last exposure to mosquitoes for heartworm prevention.

Interceptor Plus is not effective against adult D. immitis. Dogs should be tested for existing heartworm infections prior to administering the chew and should be treated to remove adult heartworms at the discretion of a veterinarian.

Interceptor Plus should be administered in a manner that encourages dogs to chew, rather than swallow whole. However, the effectiveness of the product may not be different if the dog consumes it as a whole.

If you believe your dog has consumed more than the recommended quantity of Interceptor Plus, consult your veterinarian immediately and get your dog checked.
