Milbemax for Dogs is formulated with milbemycin oxime and praziquantel as active ingredients. Praziquantel works against cestodes (e.g., tapeworms), causing muscle contraction in them and leading to their expulsion from the body. Milbemycin oxime paralyzes gastrointestinal nematodes, such as hookworms, roundworms, and whipworms, helping eliminate them from the body.

Usage Directions For Milbemax

Milbemax for Dogs is available in different varieties and packs for weight-appropriate and convenient dosing in dogs of different sizes. Check your dog’s weight and get the suitable pack as per their size and preference.

Milbemax Tablets:

Remove the Milbemax Tablet from its packaging and give it to your dog orally at any time with or without food.
Mix the tablet into a portion of your dog’s daily ration or give it as hidden in pieces of meat, for complete absorption.
Adult dogs should be treated 4 times a year.
Treatment with Milbemax in puppies is recommended at 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, and 12 weeks of age, and then monthly up to 6 months.
Treat nursing dogs at the same time as their puppies.
If you are treating more than one dog, treat each dog individually.

Milbemax Chewable Tablets:

Remove the Milbemax Chewable from its packaging and administer it as a single oral dose.
For maximum efficacy, administer the chewable after food.
For routine nematode and cestode treatment:

Treat adult dogs at least 4 times a year.
Deworm puppies at 6, 8, 10 and 12 weeks, and then monthly until they are 6 months old.

Treat nursing dogs at the same time as their puppies.
This chewable tablet may be used in pregnant and lactating female dogs and breeding dogs.
For the prevention of heartworm (D. immitis): Administer the chewable monthly at 28-day intervals as per the recommended dose.
For the prevention and treatment of spirocercosis: Administer the chewable monthly at 28-day intervals.

Milbemax Protective Measures

For animals:

For oral use in animals only.
Read the entire label or consult a veterinarian, and use only as directed.
Do not use the chewable tablets in puppies younger than 6 weeks of age.
Do not use the chewable tablets for dogs weighing more than 11 lbs. (5 kg) in dogs with a body mass of less than 11 lbs. (5 kg).

For humans:

Keep out of the reach of children, uninformed persons, and animals.
Wash your hands thoroughly after handling the product.
In case of accidental ingestion, especially by a child, seek immediate medical advice.

Precautions

Strictly observe the recommended dose in Collies or related dog breeds.
If the dog resides in or has visited heartworm-risk areas, a veterinary consultation is recommended to exclude the presence of any concurrent heartworm (Dirofilaria immitis) infestation. In case of a positive diagnosis, treatment of infected dogs is indicated before administering Milbemax Chewable.
It is not recommended to use Milbemax Chewable in dogs suffering from microfilaraemia.
Consult your veterinarian before giving Milbemax Chewable to debilitated dogs or individuals with seriously compromised kidney or liver function.

Do not contaminate water courses while disposing of this product.
Store below 25°C in a cool, dry, and dark place.
