Simparica TRIO contains three active ingredients: Sarolaner, moxidectin and pyrantel. Sarolaner causes uncontrolled neuromuscular activity in parasites, leading to their death. Moxidectin and pyrantel cause paralysis and death in parasites.
After administration, Simparica TRIO begins to kill fleas within 4 hours and demonstrates high efficacy against adult fleas within 24 hours following the treatment. It also shows high efficacy against ticks 48-72 hours post-administration. When given monthly as directed, Simparica TRIO helps prevent heartworm disease caused by Dirofilaria immitis.

If you are replacing a monthly heartworm preventive, give Simparica TRIO within one month of the last dose of the former preventive.
Simparica TRIO for dogs helps prevent flea tapeworms as a direct result of killing fleas.
Simparica TRIO is not effective against adult D.immitis. Dogs should be tested for existing heartworm infections, and infected dogs should be treated to remove adult heartworms before starting to use Simparica TRIO.
The safe use of Simparica TRIO Chewable Tablets has not been evaluated in pregnant, breeding, or lactating dogs. Consult your veterinarian before using Simparica TRIO in such pets.
In studies conducted by Zoetis, no adverse reactions were associated with the concurrent use of Simparica TRIO with other medications, such as vaccines, antimicrobials, anthelmintics, antiprotozoals, steroidal and non-steroidal anti-inflammatory agents, anesthetic agents and analgesics.
If you miss a dose or if your dog vomits/spits up the dose, give a new dose of Simparica TRIO Chewable to your dog immediately and continue with the recommended monthly dosing regimen. Check with a veterinarian for further guidance.
