When administered monthly and as recommended, Valuheart helps protect your dog against heartworm disease all year round. This tablet prevents heartworm disease by eliminating the tissue stage of heartworm larvae (Dirofilaria immitis) that may have infected the dog in the month (30 days) before treatment.
Valuheart contains ivermectin as an active ingredient. When administered as directed, at monthly intervals, it helps eliminate the tissue stage larvae of heartworms (Dirofilaria immitis) that may have infected your dog in the previous month.
Though not effective against the adult stage Dirofilaria immitis, the treatment with Valuheart may reduce the number of circulating microfilariae to undetectable levels when used as directed.
