Vectra 3D for Extra-Large Dogs: External Parasite Treatment

Vectra 3D for Extra-Large Dogs is formulated with dinotefuran, pyriproxyfen, and permethrin as active ingredients. These ingredients are partially absorbed through the dog’s skin. The triple-action formula of this dog parasite treatment kills fleas and ticks through contact.

When parasites come into contact with the treated dog’s skin and hair, the combination of these ingredients affects them, and they are compelled to crawl back up the fur and away from the skin without biting. The parasites are knocked down quickly, as they fall off the pet with little chance of recovery. The parasite feeding/biting is reduced within a few minutes, and they are killed within a few hours of application.

Usage Directions For Vectra 3D

Vectra 3D for Dogs is available in five different packs for weight-appropriate dosage in dogs of different sizes. Check your dog’s weight and get the pack that is appropriate for their bodyweight.
Ensure your dog is dry before applying this topical solution.
Make your dog stand while applying the product.
Apply it only to your dog’s undamaged/intact skin.
Remove the applicator tube from the package. Hold it upright, pointing away from you and your dog’s face.
Place your thumb and index finger around the tip of the applicator under the large disk.
With the other end, grasp the stem of the applicator tip above the smaller disk.
Press down firmly on the small disk until both disks meet, piercing the seal.
Using the applicator tip, part the hair at the base of your dog’s tail. Begin applying Vectra 3D onto your dog’s skin in a continuous line, from the base of the tail along the center of their back, all the way up to the shoulder blades, squeezing the applicator tube until it is empty.
Avoid superficial application of the product on your dog’s hair.
Do not let your dog ingest the product, and do not get it in their eyes.
Do not let your dog swim or bathe them within 48 hours of application.
Regardless of the dog’s weight, do not apply more than one tube per treatment for one dog.
Apply this topical treatment monthly, all year round, for continuous control and prevention of adult and immature flea stages, ticks, mosquitoes, and flies in your dog.

Vectra 3D Protective Measures

For animals:

For external use on dogs only. Do not use on other animals.
Do not use it on cats, as it may be fatal for them.
Not to be used in dogs and puppies less than 8 weeks of age.
Do not apply it more than once per month.
Read the entire label or consult a veterinarian, and use only as directed.

For humans:

Keep out of the reach of children. Do not let children apply the product.
Avoid contact with the application area for at least four hours after administration, until the solution is completely dry.
Do not let the treated dog sleep with you or children on the day of the treatment.
Wash completely with soap and water after handling the product and before drinking, eating, chewing gum, using tobacco products, or using the toilet.
Avoid contact with your eyes. If in the eyes accidentally, flush your eyes thoroughly with water. If irritation persists, seek immediate medical advice.
If swallowed accidentally, immediately seek medical advice.
It can irritate the skin, so avoid contact with the skin. In case of accidental spillage to the skin, wash off immediately with soap and water. Seek medical advice if irritation persists.

Precautions

Consult your veterinarian before using it in dogs during pregnancy and lactation, or in animals intended for breeding.
Do not treat your dog with more than one pesticide product at a time. Overdosing can result in serious illness.

Storage & disposal

Do not contaminate water, food, or feed by storage or disposal of this product.
It is a non-refillable container; do not re-use or refill it. Place the empty container in the trash.
Do not pour or dispose of the partially filled product down the drain or sewer. Call the local solid waste agency for disposal options.
Store in a cool and dry place.
